We tasted 8 of the finest wines from Argentina
We asked for one vote for favorite for White, Light Red and Red.
Susana Balbo Torrontes Barrel Fermented 2014 was the favorite White. Lamadrid Bonarda 2014 was the favorite Light Red. Mendoza Proemio Icon 2011 was the favorite Red.
The cheese was provided by Cabot Cheese of Vermont.

This is the highest altitude bodega in the world, The wine is piercingly fresh, with grapefruit and mandarin plus floral notes of rose and jasmine on the nose and palate; gorgeous aromatics.

Mendoza Susana Balbo Torrontes Barrel Fermented 2014
Fermented in a mixture of French and American oak barrels where the wine aged for four months. It has some sweetness and a slight bitter aftertaste which give it a special balance. It has citric aromas, notes of flowers, chalk, and very well-integrated oak. Citric fruit and the acidity is high with an elegant and mineral finish. The favorite of the Flight.
