TastersGuildNY Wines of Marchesi di Barolo Tour of Piedmont

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Marchesi di Barolo produces the Piedmont region’s most historically significant bottlings:
  • Cannubi, for Barolo, Serragrilli for Barberesco, Madonna di Como for Dolcetto d’Alba
  • Ruvei for Barbera d’Alba, Rovereto for Gavi
We enjoyed a fun evening tasting 10 incredible wines from Piedmont.
Roero Arneis 2008 was the favorite White. Barbera d”Alba ‘Ruvei’ 2007 was the favorite of Flight II. Barbera d’Alba ‘Ravera’ 2006 placed second. Barolo Cannubi 2005 was the favorite Barolo. And everyone enjoyed the Moscato d’Asti ‘Zangara’. All cheese provided by Cabot Cheese Vermont.
