We tasted 12 of the finest wines from New Zealand and Australia.
We asked for one vote for favorite from each flight.

Sophora Sparkling Cuveé – Gisborne & Hawkes Bay New Zealand was the Favorite New Zealand Sparkling, Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2015 – Marlborough NZ was the favorite of Flight II. Petaluma Piccadilly Chardonnay 2010 was the favorite of Flight III. St. Hallett Old Block Shiraz 2010 - Barossa Valley Australia was the favorIte of Flight V and Stonier Reserve Pinot Noir and Petaluma Coonawarra Red 2012 was liked by all.

The cheese was provided by Cabot Cheese of Vermont.

This sparkling Rose made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir has an attractive pink blush color and luscious palate. Delightful floral aromas and juicy red berry, cherry and pink grapefruit flavors with a balanced acidity and a creamy, decadent finish.

Tropical fruit, gooseberry, tomato leaf and bell pepper on aromas and palate. Long finish. The Favorite of this Flight.

Perfumed aromas of strawberries and fresh raspberries. The palate is elegant with a delightful creamy texture, balanced with bright acid.

Flight VI: Petaluma Coonawarra AUS Votes Full Retail Price $
Petaluma Coonawarra Red 2012 – Coonawarra AUS
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend with the inclusion of Shiraz or Petit Verdot. Deep intense color. Complex nose expressing blackcurrants and plum alongside cedar, spice, and graphite. An elegant Coonawarra style, the Shiraz adds a lovely sweet supple middle presence to the palate, important in a young wine. An impressive red wine to decant and to savour, the tannins are soft, and abundant, a big brooding dry red which will sit happily alongside the best Coonawarra vintages.
